Additional Information
Connecting airports surround the BVI, making arrivals and departures an easy part of your travel itinerary however; there are no direct flights from the USA, Canada, Europe, or South America to the British Virgin Islands. If you plan to make reservations online, remember that you will have to request flights to Tortola (EIS) or Virgin Gorda (VIJ).
The most direct way to arrive in the BVI is via San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). Frequent connecting service is offered by American Eagle, Air Sunshine, LIAT, and Cape Air, with occasional service by other airlines and charter flights. If Tortola (EIS) is your final air-bound destination, please note that you will have to utilize the ferry services of the North Sound Express, which will transfer you to the port of Leverick Bay. One of our friendly guest representatives will greet you and escort you to the Gordian Terrace.
If you choose to arrive via St. Thomas (STT), you can schedule a connecting flight via Air Sunshine to Virgin Gorda. Most travelers take one of the frequent ferries that travel between downtown Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas and connect in Tortola, to get to Virgin Gorda. We recommend that you utilize the non-stop services that are offered by Speedy’s, which operates 2 departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one departure on Saturdays.
On Saturdays from St. Thomas the ferry departs at 4:00 directly to Virgin Gorda and 8:30 from Virgin Gorda to ST. Thomas this will be added as an alternative route
